We have a very simple procedure for transportation
from Los Angeles International Aiport (LAX) to the puja venue at the Warner Center Marriott
in Woodland Hills, California (approx. 25 miles from LAX).
We have contracted with a national airport shuttle service called "Super Shuttle"
which has offered us a discounted rate to and from the puja venue. We are being
charged a flat rate of $75 for each van trip, but no more than $20/person. So if
you are in a group of 1-3, you still only pay $20, but if you are 4-7 people,
then you are charged $75 divided by the number of people in your group ($11,
$13, $15 or $19 each).
We are assuming most everyone will be departing on Monday Nov 1st, so nearly
all the vans will be full and most will be paying $11 or so.
IMPORTANT: in order to receive the discounted rate, you
must print out TWO copies of the coupon (one going/one returning) that can
be downloaded from the website, and give the coupon to the driver.
Instructions are printed on the coupon where you should go to catch
the Super Shuttle.
It is not necessary to make a pickup reservation with SY Transportation or
Super Shuttle for arrival. Just pickup your luggage at baggage claim and
walk outside to the Super Shuttle van. They have over 500 vans in the Los
Angeles area and they are expecting you!
Have the driver take you to the ballroom entrance when you arrive at
the hotel, as this is where the sahaja yoga registration will take place.
However, since so many yogis are departing at the same time, they are
asking us to make return reservations to be sure vans are at the hotel
at the right time for the right amount of people. Super Shuttle will
set up a reservations desk in the lobby after Sunday Brunch, or you
can call the number on the coupon at your convenience.
