Addison, Texas. The Spring Holistic Fair held in a central location in the Dallas metroplex over the weekend of April 27-28 was a memorable one. The collective force was extraordinary, with a Sahaja Yogi who drove 4 hours from a neighboring state adding a new dimension to our notion of collectivity (he said: "for me, coming to this is more important than coming to a puja, because at the puja you just enlighten yourself, but when you give realization you enlighten others"). The vibrations reached a level never experienced before in our previous Texas seekers fairs participations - we all felt the joy of being in a really large, harmonious and loving family working as one towards our singular goal.
 Equipped with a beautiful 3-panel display designed and produced locally by one of our artistic Yogis, meditation altar, TV/VCR, and banner, our booth was by far the busiest of all, with people often swarming around our small and insufficient fleet of chairs. Many other exhibitors of various types of yoga, meditation, herbs, lotions, potions, air purifiers, butterflies and what not came to receive their Self Realization. A Bikram Yoga teacher and medical doctor, extremely thin (Bikram is a form of yoga that takes you to the extreme of the right side by generating enough heat to make you sweat like a locomotive in full steam), came eventually to get his Realization and was so excited about his experience that he practically sent to us all the people who stopped by his booth afterwards.
At the other extreme of the vibrational spectrum, a tantrik swami and his assistant came to sit down and not only received their Self Realization but also felt great vibrations (we found out only much later that they were tantrikas and were amazed by the Divine Grace who bestows the supreme gift even on the most unlikely people - according to our conditionings). I asked the swami if he felt it and he shook his big white bearded head vigorously and rolled his eyes affirmatively. He told his assistant: "go sit down and do it. I felt it and now I don't know what to do. I guess I'll go to their program next Saturday !"
The stuff other people had going on was unbelievable, from "Absolutely Fun Hypnosis" to "Got Chakra?" T-shirts, keeping us entertained for hours on end. Some impressions from the fair as witnessed and retold by our Sahaj brothers and sisters:
- "I have been practicing the Param-param-param... form of meditation for twenty years, you know what I mean." "So can you feel the cool breeze above your head, can you tell which chakras are blocked?" "Oh, well, actually, see, ..."
- "Oh, yeah, I meditate ! Actually I created myself a type of er... er... oh... uh... excuse me, I'm sorry, I'm in a different state of consciousness right now and I can't get out of it. You know how that happens!"
- "MEDITATION ??? I am the MASTER of meditation !! I AM meditation !!!"
The last comment came from someone who we initially thought was headed for a lunatic asylum, but then we figured out that he had probably escaped one. He was getting people outside on his blanket and holding their hands for a long time while smiling and agitating his head frantically, like in a sort of Negativity Exchange Incorporated.
It was amazing to witness all this stuff while feeling enveloped like in a protective bubble of vibrations. I remember working on the very first person and feeling like I was working on a Sahaja Yogi who had just come back from a puja. The vibrations were incredible. Even working on the seemingly most negative people, the vibrations were so strong that we simply felt exhilarating joy. Many of our conditionings got destroyed, including when we were jokingly passing on to each other people who looked weird and caught up ("you work on him! no, no, you work on him!"), but who afterwards turned out to be great seekers who not only had great vibrations but also an instant and subtle recognition for Shri Mataji. One lady came back the second day to be worked on because she had felt so great and she felt she had accumulated some negativity from the other stuff going on. We actually couldn't recognize her at first - she looked at least 5 years younger than the previous day !
One lady who wanted to be there for the whole duration of the fair and check everything out ended up just gravitating around our booth and bringing to us all the friends and aquaintances she possibly could. She even went to the fair organizer and told him how amazing Shri Mataji and Sahaja Yoga is. In the end we "adopted" her and she even helped us work on some of the new people.
 Opposite our table there was a physician with a machine able to measure stress levels in the muscles of the cervical area. His wife came to get her Realization and seemed interested, even though he was apparently not interested in Sahaja Yoga. We convinced him to measure the stress of a lady before and after receiving her Self Realization. He said that her left left neck area was badly blocked before and had completely cleared afterwards, while her right neck area had picked up a little of the tension from the left, but overall there was a definite improvement. We thanked him for this scientific confirmation of the effectiveness of Sahaja Yoga and turned to the Yogini who had worked on that lady to find out the "real" story. The lady seeker had not been able to feel vibrations in her left hand due to a severe blockage in the left Vishuddhi. The Yogini asked her to say "I am not guilty" several times. This cleared it out and made the vibrations flow so well (the lady asked surprised "how did you know I was feeling guilty?"), that the Yogini didn't get to work on the right Vishuddhi which was only slightly caught. We concluded that the machine was working correctly.
What amazed us most though was the fact that despite the doctor's manifest disinterest (of course, he didn't want to lose his clients to a free meditation practice), he had all his clients sit facing Shri Mataji's photograph on our table, with the palms upwards on their lap (!) while using his machine on them. We didn't of course have any objection to his "steal", especially since we saw the familiar twinkle in people's eyes who received their Self Realization on his bench even without coming to our booth.
By Shri Mataji's Grace, over 150 seekers received their Self Realization over this weekend, and many said they will come to our follow-up meetings, which made us think again about the size of the room we had booked. The fact that we told them this will be a very intensive, 4-week only course, after which they will master the basics and be invited to the advanced meetings, also seemed to help make up their mind. This was based on a decision we had taken in the beginning of the year to replace our "steady locations" strategy by "guerilla round'em up in a month & move to the next area".

We thank Shri Mataji with all our hearts for giving us this opportunity to spread Her Divine love. We are planning to definitely repeat this in the future given the large increase in the number of people receiving their Self Realization compared to previous fairs we attended.
