Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Shri Mataji’s vision of Canajoharie is taking shape, rapidly. Mother
has given us this tremendous gift, the potential for creating our own truly
Sahaj Village, which will give us a strong foundation. It will be an inspiration
for the entire world! She has suggested a number of projects, which are a reflection
of our own dreams coming true. Listed below are a few to get us started. Now
is the time for us to come together with full Desire in a collective effort.
The present enterprises have grown to such an extent that they have become
almost too big to manage. We need each other to see this vision through.
These projects are ongoing; so any amount of time you can give will be useful.
There will be work-weekends throughout the summer season and into fall, with
larger projects needing more of a time commitment.
This is also open to people from abroad with appropriate skills who would
like to participate; there are many possibilities. For more details about various
projects including accommodations, invitations, etc, please contact Michael
at the Canajoharie ashram (518 993-3904) or 518-225-1745 (Cell) or email nirmal@capital.net.
Come and experience the sacred earth of this special place. Shri Mataji has
named the property Nirmal Nagari, or Pure Village, a community of Yogis working
and living together to create an international center.
Projects underway this year include:
Sahaj School for Children
A (Kindergarten-second grade) is in the process of being developed this year.
New property will be purchased, and/or structures built on the existing land.
This is a big project that will surely need lots of support. More news will
be forthcoming very soon.
Gardening and Agricultural projects
Corn and other vegetables will be planted behind the ashram and on the fields.
We now have our own honey-producing beehive, which needs looking after. There
is also a project to set up a chicken coop, so we can produce our own eggs.
Plant an Orchard
There is a plan to buy a large number of fruit trees and prepare the land for
planting in the fall. People will be able to pledge a tree in Canajoharie
at Shri Krishna Puja, which will be made into an orchard. The contributions
will be used for further projects on the land.
