Divine Musical Night - A Night to Remember

The programme of Divine Musical Nite on 3rd Feb 2004 at Kalidas Auditorium, Mulund, Mumbai, India was truly divine. Indeed the show was so good, that in retrospect we all feel that it could not be possible without Shri Mataji's sweet attention.

Right from the nod by our dear Subramanian and all Vaitarna Team along with our leader Hari Jalan's fullest support towards the project to conduct the program in all earnest, to the sponsors of the show to the staff of the auditorium, to the support from all the musicians, technicians, yuvashakti, coordinators of our zone, everybody put in their best effort to make it a grand success for all to remember.

This is the first programme of music in Mumbai specially whereby Video CD would be released instead of the normal cassettes and audio cds. Many people are unaware of the fact that not one programme's CD, but two would be released. After the audience left the auditorium, after the dinner it was time to start a second session of the recording. The recording of new album of classical ragas by Pandit Subramanian.

So this Shivratri Puja will see the release of Two albums of Pandit Subramanian. The first ever Video album and the first from Mumbai collective.

The Production cost is nothing more than the actual expenses towards raw material and nominal costs towards hiring, conveyance, food etc, with no professional fees being charged by any of the professionals. Also it is interesting to note that during the actual performance of the show, two cameramen non sahaja yogis got their realisation and two musicians, non sahaja yogis felt so great that they promised to come to the center and do sahaja yoga.

The flow of the programme was so great that onlookers remarked that it was better than any professional show they have seen. Also it was amazing to listen to compering by Umesh Bhor. It was so well said and presented that it must have taken a lot of effort in preparing the speech and practicing. But behold as was later revealed to everyone that it was all spontanous and even he did not know what was coming next. It was truly Shri Mataji speaking through him. It was a total miracle.

The grace with which Shri Subramanian performed, I think he was at his best. and no one could stop praising Ustad Iqbal Khan for the best accompaniment on Tabla. Many people said that it is the first time that they knew how sweet the tabla could be.

One of my friend, who is a critic had come to the show. At the end he congratulated us for performing so well and said it is hard to find anything to criticise. It was so so perfect. But we all know that everything was in a mess just before the show and suddenly it all so worked out that it became the hit show that could not be imagined. A miracle has happened and we all know now that if we have Her grace, then even a piece of glass becomes the diamond.

We are all looking forward to the release of the video Cds so that we can enjoy once more and also show it to our other sahaja yogi brothers and sisters around the globe for them to enjoy the Divine Musical Night again and again.

Jai Shri Mataji
