Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We send you lots of love from Iceland. Rita is here
since middle of February, joined by Ulla from Switzerland for two weeks and
Lucienne from Belgium also
for two weeks. I arrived end of March. Rita and me will stay until middle of
June. It is now the second time, that we spend a couple of months here and
it is only getting better!
More and more people attend our programs, many more
get realization. On Wednesday the14th of April we had 20 new people coming
for the first time!
There is a very nice man, his name is Benedikt and he joined us since 8 weeks
.He meditates at home and he feels very much the benefits of his Kundalini
energy. He calmed down tremendously. He brings new people all the time and
tells everybody
about Sahaja Yoga.
The swimming pools in Iceland are places of social importance,
where people go regularly to swim, but mainly to chat and exchange the newest
gossip. Only
in
Reykjavik there are 7 swimming pools. We started to place folders in most of
them and the respond is very good.
Our main source for getting new people is
still the New Age shop in the shopping centre of Reykjavik, where we are allowed
to talk to the customers. We give
them a short introduction, 2-3 minutes and then ask them to open their hands,
so that
we can place our hands over theirs and they receive their selfrealisation.
Most of them can feel the cool breeze in the hands. After that we give them
some information
material and invite them for the courses. Last year around 450 persons got
Kundalini awakening in this manner. We hope to increase the number this time...
On
Wednesday evenings we give courses for beginners. Mostly we have a short meditation
of about 5minutes ,then we give we introduce S.Y. , after that we
have a longer
meditation to awaken the Kundalini .Then we teach them to work on each other
right away, which works very well and clears a lot of ballast.
We also play
mostly a part of “Experience with truth”. Our programs
start about 20.15 and never end before 22.30. People have many questions or
stories to tell. After the program we have tea with them and a nice chill out.
The
people on Iceland are very open minded and not so influenced by the church.
They are the hardest working nation in Europe, so they all feel the stress
and long for possibilities to relax. We feel a lot of innocence in them, especially
in the older generation. It is only 50 years ago, that Iceland opened its doors
to the rest of the world, so they where kind of protected against many bad
influences
.Since then all kind of people and things have entered Iceland, so that the
younger generation is much more disturbed and confused. Miss use of alcohol
and drugs
is common. Still many young people come to our programs.
On Mondays we have
courses for advanced people. We started to say mantras and to sing little songs
with them. There are around 15 of them coming regularly.
People do not react negatively on Mothers picture. Very probably 2 or more
might be in Cabella for Guru Puja. Those who meditate change very fast. One
a lady
said after a few programs that she never could have thought that reality was
like it is…I am so surprised, she said and I could feel her joy, having
discovered it!
The age of people varies between 15 and 75 years .Some of them
have already amazing experiences.
The lovely meeting centre, we use for free,
has become a very warm hearted place and the vibrations have become much better.
Two of the ladies who run
the centre,
one has a massage practice and the other gives yoga to pregnant woman, have
a meeting with us on Monday mornings. They are progressing very well lately
in
the understanding of S.Y .and they feel the joy. One of them discovered that
she is not arguing with her husband anymore. They overload us with lovely compliments,
they are like real sisters…and the most interesting point is that they
are on the way to become yogis! They have all the qualities and the possibilities
to take it over later…wait and see! They also say that it is a blessing
we have come into their live.
Sometimes we invite some people to our place..
In return, they started to invite us, very nice!
It is amazing how alert Paramchaitanya
is, how much has changed, how much has been achieved in a short time. Last
year September coming here empty handed,
I mean without any arrangements for meetings or a place to live! Soon our hands
will be too small to carry the blessings and the establishment of S.Y. will
be reality! There are very many artists here and probably artistic people living
in this kind of nature are more receptive…
