At the end of May, from the 20th to the 23rd, we had our Vishwa Nirmala Dharma - Sahaja Yoga stand at the annual fair for complementary health in Lugano (Ticino), Switzerland. Ticino is the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. It was the sixth time that we participated in this fair and the organiser always invites us to go because our stand is always the one that has the most people visiting it. (It's the only one that doesn't sell anything!)
This year we put attention on our desire to attract more young people to Sahaja Yoga, seeing as in these chaotic times the youth especially have a need for Sahaja Yoga, and Sahaja Yoga in Lugano also has need of them. Two recent articles spontaneously appearing in local magazines pointing out this dilema for young people and the need for an unknown solution also helped prompt this desire. With this in mind we especially encouraged members of the Swiss and Italian Yuva Shakti to join us at the fair. We thought to have alongside the customary photos of Shri Mataji, also images of the smiling and joyful faces of young sahaja yogis' as they enjoy Sahaj collectivity. Yuva Shakti from Northern Italy prepared a CD of images that was projected continuously onto a large screen during the open hours of the fair from 10:00am till 10:00pm.
It was amazing how people were so anxious to receive their realisation. This year was even more easy than other years and the kundalinis rose almost instantly. Between 600 and 1000 people (including families with children, young couples etc.) received their self-realisation; probably closer to a thousand. Everyone was feeing so peaceful, calm, relaxed and joyful. Everyone wanted to thank us for the beautiful experience they had. People who came to the follow-up programmes said they felt so good after being at our stand that they wanted to come back.
These days were tremendous and so joy-giving. All the sahaja yogis who came to help were impressed by the success of the fair and we are continuing to share with those coming for the follow-ups the enthusiasm, love and collectivity which was so strong during these four days. We feel sure that the seeds planted during the fair will soon blossom into colourful, fragrant and radiant sahaja yogis.
