Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Tonight, during Her evening tea, Sir CP asked Shri Mataji if She would like to hear some music. She said She would, and there was a lot of hustle and bustle as everyone grabbed musical instruments and started to appear in Her living room. Within
ten minutes, 30 yogis were sitting before Her singing bhajans. As some of the yogis were coming in, She spoke to them. She asked Angela if her husband, Amrith was also here. He had gone out to do an errand and was rushing back to join the group. The timing was amazing because there were very accomplished singers who happened to be here at that moment. We sang Namostute, Krishna Govind, Guru Eka Jagi Trata, Jago Savera, Nirmala Kiti Virnavi Tujiga Stuti, and finally Baya Kayataya. After several of the bhajans, She said, "Bahut accha" ("very nice" in Hindi). She was overjoyed to see and hear the yogis, looking at each and every person while we sang. The experience felt just like offering a puja at Her lotus Feet.
As Sahaja Yogis were leaving the room, Shri Mataji and Sir CP met with a few Sahaja Yogi leaders from the US and expressed how happy She was to be in New York. Shri Mataji and Sir CP announced that Her house here in New Jersey would become one of the centers of the World Council for the Advancement of Sahaja Yoga (WCASY). She expressed that we should finalize this by forming a foundation in the US as soon as possible. We were amazed and honored to hear this wonderful news.
They would like the World Council to immediately act on two initiatives. One is that the World Council should establish and manage an audio/video trust that will have centralized responsibility for preservation, copyright protection, reproduction and worldwide distribution. They emphasized that this should be a top priority because Shri Mataji's talks represent the very essence of Sahaja knowledge.
The second initiative is that the World Council should look after all the schools and educational projects all over the world. As Sir CP was mentioning the existing schools in Dharamsala and Rome, and Shri Mataji said, "and your Canajoharie school." Her vision has been that She always wanted at least one Sahaja school on every continent.
For the last four days since Shri Mataji has been here, many of us have spent some time everyday with Her. The first day, She was a bit tired but She spoke with us for a while and greeted yogis in Her living room while having dinner. She told us that She was really happy to see so many Sahaja yogis at the airport. As we were sharing our joy with Her about Her being here in America, She said, "I said, let's go to New York."
The next day, Thursday evening, She was very relaxed and had a few conversations with Paul, Manoj, Vasu, Linda and Ashish Pradhan. She asked us to help with the organization of Guru Puja as co-hosts and assured us that it would work out (Ho jayega) to find a place to host the puja. On Friday, we saw a hotel 15 minutes from Her house which is available for the scheduled dates and which can accommodate more than 1,000 yogis. When we saw Her Friday evening, She was very happy to hear that we had found a hotel for Guru Puja in such a short time.
Last night, Sir CP's birthday was celebrated with a cake in the presence of Shri Mataji. Again, all the yogis in the house at the time were invited inside to share this happy event. Shri Mataji commented at one point that this was Sir CP's "official" birthday.
There is a special quality of lightness and joy here, as every day brings more precious moments with Her. Each day we feel that the experience of Her love and attention cannot be surpassed, yet the next day brings yet another level of joy and depth of experience.
