I have been asked on several occasions for information about the activities of the WCASY. I asked myself at times what would be the moment to make a useful report and I never quite found the right response. This is because the World Council is still in its infancy, a growing child that is making progress. That moment has arrived where we have some exciting news to report.
We are back from a great Sahsrara puja in the vicinity of London , where we were all welcomed with unique love and attention to detail by our brothers and sisters of the United Kingdom . As Shri Mataji moved from a glorious residence in Australia to a new and delightful abode in London , we all felt the goodness it brought to our hearts, and the heart is where we want to be.
The consultative meeting of the WCASY which took place on the margins of Sahasrara Day considered several issues.
The report of Philip Zeiss on the use of the Intellectual Property touched on a matter of highest importance. Indeed, the preservation of the spiritual inheritance of Shri Mataji in terms of Her knowledge contained in the spoken word is at the heart of the mandate of the Council. We all share the desire that this knowledge be broadly available on line and in hard copies.
With regard to digitalization and archiving there are three factors of great importance: the delicate condition of vulnerable analogue Master tapes, costs and the preciousness of the video tapes to Sahaja Yoga.
To start with, we need to a) safeguard the 3700 tapes now professionally kept in Vienna b) taking up global commercial distribution.
- Safeguarding the tapes containing the knowledge requires an investment of 300,000 Euros. I AM SURE THAT EVERY SHAHAJA YOGI CAN RELATE TO THIS PROJECT FROM THEIR HEART. It is to this end I write to you appealing for contributions to protect the Crown Jewels the life blood of Sahaja Yoga. The Chairman of the Finance Committee will shortly issue details on SWAN on how these contributions can be made.
- Once the global distribution commences the proceeds from sales will serve to finance, initially the World Centre and its activities in Cabella. We recognize that supplies of tapes have been disrupted in some countries and we hope to restore distribution soon. In the meantime, yoginis and yogis are kindly invited to purchase such items from the Sahaja yoga managed sources and not download it freely from websites which have unlawfully pirated this knowledge.

I would not like to finish this report without mentioning other aspects of the work of the consultative meeting in London .
On the side of institutional developments, we reviewed the history of steps already taken. After the initial creation of a Foundation in the USA , Shri Mataji in a spirit of continuity gave an impetus to launch the World Trust and the World Centre in Cabella, as per Her initial instructions issued in July 2004. Optimal conditions to uphold and defend the intellectual property of Shri Mataji were equally reviewed upon the presentation from Paul Ellis, the legal adviser of the Council. A new structure shall be created to take over these responsibilities in the best possible circumstances and insure transfer of necessary resources to the World Trust in Italy .
