Dear Brothers and Sisters,

On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan on the evening of August 9, the Realize America Tour culminated at the feet of the Adi Shakti at Her home in Calabasas California. Close to 40 American and international yuva shakti finished a self realization tour of the west coast of the United States that began in Seattle on July 22nd and finished at the feet of Our Holy Mother this night. Shri Mataji and Sir C.P. were informed that over 1,000 people were given self realization during this historic event that spanned over 1,150 miles.

Aarti was performed and a large bouquet was presented to Shri Mataji on behalf of the members of the tour and Shri Mataji was already asking, “Where are the children?” They began to come in two’s and three’s each offering flower petals at Her lotus feet and every yuva shakti was given a beautiful watch by Shri Mataji’s own hand to represent Her rakhi to them. The younger yuvas not on the tour were each given back packs and other presents for their return to school.

A music CD that was created by sahaja yogis and was used to raise funds for the tour was presented to Shri Mataji, and the smallest yuvas presented a photo album of all of the children of LA filled with the children's artwork. Finally, a large three dimensional painting using real bark, fabric, silk leaves and faux jewels created by the LA Yuva Shakti depicting Shri Radha and Shri Krishna on a swing was presented to Shri Mataji in celebration of Raksha Bandhan.

The wonderful evening continued with the offering of a beautiful rakhi with a small flute from all the sahaja yogis by Eduardo Marino of Brazil who gently tied it to Her wrist and offered a silver tray of rakhis from all over the world. Two of the Los Angeles yuva shakti girls offered Shri Mataji’s great grandson Sumant his first rakhi and also tied rakhi to Anant, his older brother with Sadhana Didi, Kunal, and Sonalika all looking on.

The bhajan group was then asked to perform a few offerings of devotional songs after which Shri Mataji asked that all the yogis should have their dinner. Everyone attending was served prasad, sandwiches, pizza, drinks, and cake until all were satisfied while Shri Mataji and Sir CP had tea and snacks.

The evening was glorious. Shri Mataji, the entire time, was watching everyone very intently, swaying her head to the rhythm of the sarod and flute music that was performed while the yuvas presented their flowers. There was so much joy, laughter and applause as everyone present was able to express their love for the Queen of the Universe and then to receive Her blessings in gifts and waves of vibrations.

Jai Shri Mataji
