It is my belief that the attention of the world must be on Africa. As yogis, if one person gets their realisation, we almost feel that the 600km journey was worth it. So you can imagine our delight that around 350 - 450 people took their realisation on day one of the international Trade Fair. The Swazi people were really receptive, especially since almost no one had heard of yoga or even meditation before, and those that had only had "Queen from SABC Generations" as the idea of someone that practices yoga. Not the best example :) , but nonetheless ...
There had been a one page article, the day before in the Swazi Observer, which a lot of people that attended our stall hinted as the reason they had come to receive their realisation. All in all, the general awareness on Sahaja Yoga, had been created, and it gathered momentum, as the remainder of our day unfolded.
The best news is yet to come. The KING of Swaziland, spent around five minutes at our stall, where the Sahaj children gifted him a book on Sahaja Yoga and a bouquet of flowers. He seemed quite intrigued by news that we had come from South Africa to start this program there. He listened attentively, as the wife of Laxminarayan (yogi in Swaziland) filled him in what Sahaja Yoga was all about. It was also pleasing to note, that General of the KING's army, and five other officers took their realisation, all of them feeling the cool breeze. There are some lovely pictures which I hope we will be able to forward to you soon.
At 6pm, we were fairly satisfied, that Mother's love was slowly being propagated into this very beautiful land ... but the next day, even more was in store.
On our arrival at the stall at around 9am, it came to our attention that Swazi TV, was "interested" to know, why the King spent so much time with us (assuming that 5 minutes of the KING's time, must be really valuable). With full attention on spreading the message of Shri Mataji, myself, Sanjay and Laxminarayan, were interviewed for national TV. We proceeded to talk briefly on Sahaj, and gave the presenter of the show her realisation.
Like I said, AWESOME !!!
I'm sure there will be much good news to follow as more yogis make their way to Swaziland in the coming days. As for us, we are just excited that we could be used as instruments of Mother's work.
