A new and exciting chapter has started for Sahaja Yoga in the North! With Shri Mataji’s blessings Sweden and Norway have merged and become a Scandinavian collective with one common council. With the approval from The World Council and Shri Mataji we feel very happy and hope that this union will contribute to a fresh start for Sahaja Yoga in Scandinavia. We hope to spread Mother’s love and words more successfully thanks to the strength of a bigger collective. So this was maybe a trick from Shri Krishna where in one 'hit' we have doubled our collective! It has not been easy to spread Sahaja Yoga in these countries so in the spirit of 'joined forces' we really pray that we will become a better instrument of the Divine force.
On the auspicious occasion of Ganesha Puja we had our first Scandinavian seminar on banks of the Oslo fjord in a beautiful setting with blue skies for the whole weekend. About 30 yogis were gathered in a little house with view over the fjord and the city of Oslo. The sun and the warm weather accompanied us the whole weekend. We did shoebeat and Havan outdoors, and the children could be on the beach and discover the sea life.
In the evening everybody had to prepare something and we all performed individually or in a group: from singing, dancing, reading poems to even standing on the toes and wiggle the ears! Little did one know what talents were hiding in our brothers and sisters! We felt immense joy to be together while sharing experiences, laughing, singing, playing badjans and most importantly, while worshipping Her Holiness Shri Mataji in Her form of Shri Ganesha.
We really hope that Shri Ganesha was pleased and that he will remove all obstacles on our journey towards total emancipation of these countries in accordance with Shri Matajis vision!
