Dear Brothers and Sisters,
In the five days separating Guru Puja and Krishna Puja we expect a large number of sahaja yogis to remain in Cabella and attend both pujas. We would like to make the most of this opportunity to create a festival (The World Centre Festival) which would involve performances of theatre, dance and music every evening and, during the day, a schedule for seminars, workshops and other events on a whole range of topics.
It will be a great collective event, full of joy and exuberance; but also a profoundly spiritual experience in which each one of us can deepen the connection with our beloved Mother and discover new dimensions to our meditation.
Registration
We anticipate that large numbers of yogis will want to take advantage of the vicinity of the two pujas and decide to stay in Cabella in that period. In order to allow us to plan properly for the occasion it is important for us to be able to make a reasonably accurate estimate of numbers, especially if we are to feed everyone. We have asked country coordinators to give us an indication of numbers so if you wishes to stay and eat in Albera (the area around the hangar) in the five days between Guru Puja and Krishna Puja to make sure you inform them.
Accommodation
At no charge, people will be accommodated, in rudimentary style, in the marquee near the hangar. People are also be free to pitch their own tents. Toilet and washing facilities will be available. Bring a sleeping bag and, if required, a mattress.
People looking for hotel accommodation must make their own arrangements.
Food
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided, Monday breakfast to Friday lunch. Each day a different county (or group of countries) will take charge of the kitchen. Everyone, whoever you are, is requested to take a turn in the kitchen, cooking and serving the food and, most importantly, contributing to a mood of collectivity, which is the essence of the festival.
The schedule we propose for the kitchen is as follows:
Monday 30/07: France, Portugal & Switzerland Tuesday 31/07: Austria & Germany Wednesday 01/08: UK, Turkey & Spain Thursday 02/08: Italy & Romania Friday 03/08: Belgium, Holland, Scandinavian countries & the Russia
Also, feel free to help when it is not the turn of your country. Lets try and recapture the spirit of the India Tours when Shri Mataji would ask us to make an effort to get to know brothers and sisters from countries different from our own.
Cost
Food:
Breakfast: € 1.00 Lunch: € 3.00 Dinner: € 6.00
Participants will be provided with food vouchers and will need to present them in order to be served meals. Special concessions on the price are not possible as we are providing the food at cost.
Entertainment
Every evening there will be a cultural programme with a variety of performers and performances from around the world. A detailed programme will follow. Each evening, participants will be invited to make a voluntary contribution to the World Foundation.
It is our strong desire that this World Centre Festival should become a fixture in the calendar of the World Foundation and that it will, one day, also be open to the outside community, acting as a showcase for global Sahaja Yoga culture of integration and spiritual brotherhood. Please support us in this endeavour with your participation, collaboration and generosity; we cannot do it without you.
With love and respect, The Executive Committee Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Sahaja Yoga World Foundation
