From the15th to the 18th of August, the first International Yuva Shakti Seminar was held in Switzerland in the Jura mountains. The seminar took place in a large building situated in a village called Villeret. The fine prospects of the area and a little mending and furnishing made the place ideally comfortable to welcome
about 75 yuvas from at least 10 different countries in Europe.
The seminar started with a meditation and a havan to Shri Jesus and the Ekadasha
Rudra powers the morning after the arrivals. Following the havan was a session
in which Dr. Brian Wells, one of the guest speakers, spoke to us about drugs,
how they work and their effects on the brain and compared this to meditation.
After a small break everyone was dispatched in four groups. Each group discussed
topics such as coping with the environment and peer pressure, the role of the
yuva shakti, spreading Sahaj, and inner growth. These topics were further discussed
in the collective.
The next morning we had a collective shoe beat followed by a question and answer
session. From the beginning of the seminar a bowl was placed by the altar. Anyone
who wished to ask a question about Sahaj could write it down on a piece of paper
and place it in the bowl. These questions remained anonymous. During the session
each question was read out to everyone and anyone who wished to answer it could
do so. The session was very intense, many of us learnt a lot of different things
about Sahaj. Later on in the day, after a good lunch, Uncle Gregoire, our other
guest speaker, spoke to us about desire, will and attention and how to bring
those to a balance in order to ascend spiritually through Sahaja Yoga.
The questions left unanswered in the morning were then treated with the adults
under a tree outside. That evening after meditation we had music and dancing.
The next day we were joined by the whole Swiss collective to perform the Krishna
Puja followed by raksha bandhan. The Puja had strong Vibrations and left each
one of us full of joy.
Everybody took home with them a bit of what they had learnt and experienced,
to the four corners of Europe from which they had come. We are all thankfull
to our Divine Mother Whose blessings made this seminar possible and tied us
into one collective Nirmal Shakti Yuva Sang.
