Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Many of you will have read the article on our website about Shri Mataji´s vision for the holy land of Cabella, which we all love so much. From the very beginnings of Sahaja Yoga Shri Mataji has always underlined the importance of caring for and educating our children. Now She has decided to establish a new international school in the Val Borbera, for children aged 6 to 18, so that this generation and the generations to come will be able to bathe in the vibrations that Her presence has created in this most beautiful and sacred of places. In doing so She has realigned the priorities for Sahaja Yoga over the next few years.
We all know that the first step has been taken and about 40 children are already enjoying Centrassi School, a project realised in collaboration with the local primary school (click here to watch the video of Shri Mataji’s inauguration of Centrassi). Who would have thought even half a year ago that such a thing could happen in such a short time?

In the same way, Shri Mataji’s vision of a fully-fledged Sahaja Yoga school in English is going to happen. It is so easy to see the school building already standing there, full of the cheerful faces of happy, care-free kids. We can already hear their laughter as they joyfully run about and play in the bliss that Mother has created for them. Everyday they can bathe in the healing waters of the ‘Ganges of Europe’ or run on the soothing grass of Cabella’s Mother Earth. Can you imagine them, our children, the children of our children, growing up in this heavenly abode? And what a great excuse to go to Cabella ourselves, to clear out and to enjoy that state of oneness with the Flow of the Divine.
Brothers and sisters, what other place in the world has been blessed by Shri Adi Shakti with over 90 sakar pujas? What better investment in the ‘home-base’ of Sahaja Yoga, of today and of the future? This is a dream that Shri Mataji wants us to believe can become a reality. Let’s rise to the challenge!
Shri Mataji distributes gifts to children

A feasibility study has been prepared and blessed by Shri Mataji in which a five-year implementation plan has been worked out for the first two phases of the project.
PHASE ONE
1. January 2009 launch the construction of two new buildings on the Albera properties (near the hangar) to house classrooms and dormitory facilities.
2. September 2009 Accept 15/25 enrolments in class 1. The children will be housed in the newly renovated Centrassi Villa and will attend class in rented facilities in Cabella.
3. September 2010 Open up classes 2 & 3 and increase enrolments to 60/70 pupils. Increased capacity to be covered by the first of the Albera buildings which is scheduled for completion in July 2010.
PHASE TWO
4. September 2012 Open up classes 4 & 5 and increase enrolments to 85/100 pupils. Increased capacity to be covered with the second Albera building, which is scheduled for completion in July 2012.
5. September 2013 Launch of the secondary school with the opening of the first two years.
Naturally, for all of this to happen we need to raise a considerable sum of money. In fact, we anticipate that 2,000,000 Euros will be required to complete Phase One’ of the project, including the cost of fitting out the school with furniture and equipment.
Shri Mataji has recently made available 600,000 Euros for the launch of school projects in Cabella, part of which we have already used on the renovation of Centrassi. In addition, the Italian government (who are not Yogis) have awarded a grant of 200,000 Euros toward the construction of the Albera building. It is now time for us to express our generosity as well and raise the extra 1,400,000 Euros still needed.
In 2009, let’s work together to match the amount that has been provided already by Shri Mataji and by the Italian government (800,000 Euros); in 2010 we can collect the remaining 600,000 Euros. But clearly a donation of 70 Euros per head will not be enough. We need to change our mindset and start thinking in terms of 1,000 Euro per family. Those who are blessed with greater financial resources are naturally welcome to express themselves more generously ƒº. We also require at least some of the funds to start arriving in the first quarter of next year.

Shortly after Navaratri Puja in Cabella, a Yuva Shakti, who has no income of her own, donated 100 Euro of her savings, saying with tears in her eyes: “I do not know how I am going to give 1,000 Euro for the building of Cabella School, but this is my first contribution”. The Swiss collective, for their part, have put all national projects on hold in order to redirect funds towards Cabella.
Let us all try and emulate this spirit of selflessness and sacrifice. May Shri Laxshmi be pleased with us Sahaja Yogis at this time of financial crisis so that we can fulfil our duty towards the future of Sahaja Yoga and towards the vision of our Holy Mother. With great confidence and with light heart we are going to do it.
