World Foundation Fundraising Appeal 2010

Dear SahajYoginis and SahajYogis,
Thank you all for the sumptuous and kind help in 2009 that has allowed us to move ahead in our quest to serve our Sahaja collective better, by supplying ways and means to support the emancipation of mankind through the teachings of our Guru and Mother, H.H. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. We are grateful to Her for all the kindness, guidance and inspiration that She provides us and pray to Her that our service will always please Her.
2009 was a difficult year for many due to the economical crisis that plagued globally, but despite this fact our sisters and brothers from all over the world, most generously made contributions and donations to the world Foundation and we were able to meet our target of 900,000 euro in donations. This is a great achievement and has helped us move forward with many projects, in particular the purchase and renovation of a new school building.
Continued Support for Cabella School Needed: € 200,000
2009 saw the launch of the English-medium primary school where our new generation, the leaders of tomorrow, will learn about the sahaj and spiritual importance of human life. Our Mother responded with a “Thanks” note chalked on the slate along with Her continuous blessings and attention to the children. We have started the First Class at the school and, as we complete the renovation works, we will expand further. This year we aim to introduce Class Two and to add an extension to the Centrassi villa to help accommodate the additional children. We are also committed to providing an annual subsidy to the school so that fees can be made affordable. This is our focus for 2010 for which we need to collect approx 200,000 euro.
Better Accommodation for Shri Mataji and Sahaja Yogis Needed: € 150,000
Shri Mataji and Sir CPji have very recently taken up residency in Italy and are staying over the winter in Italy. We had a beautiful Christmas and New Year celebration in Rome and we happily look forward to the Shivaratri and Birthday Puja Celebrations in March 2010. Cabella can be a little cold at this time of year and works are in progress to prepare the hangar for this special occasion. We will be putting heating and bringing improvements like warm water in the showers and toilets. We would also like to make some improvements to the castle itself, providing proper insulation and heating. Now that Shri Mataji is staying on in Cabella in the winter months as well, we would like to ensure that the environment is as comfortable as possible for Her and Her household. In order to do all this we expect to need about 150,000 euro.
Continued Investment in Preservation of Shri Mataji’s Tapes Needed: € 150,000
Last but by no means least is the ongoing project for the digitalization and preservation of all the talks of Shri Mataji recorded on audio and video tape. The aim is to provide complete and secure storage of our Mother’s speeches for future generations, as well as supply today’s collective with enhanced formats and better quality. The Commercial Unit has been very successful in bringing 40-50 new titles every year, many with subtitles in a range of different languages, thanks also to a great, international ‘army’ of volunteers who work hard to provide talks with translations and subtitles in local languages. Altogether, this is an annual cost of about 150,000 euro.
For all of this we need your help. We are busy exploring alternative avenues for raising funds by putting in applications with organizations and entities which might be interested in fully or partially financing some of our projects. These efforts have already borne some fruit with the € 200,000 granted t the Foundation last year by the Regional Government of Piemonte in Italy. More work needs to be done and, in the future we hope to receive more awards of external funding. In the meantime, we count on your continued generosity.
The results of this generosity are already there for all to see. So many aspects of Shri Mataji´s vision have manifested this year; the worst of the financial crisis is said to be over. Of course, only She knows what universes have been worked out. But one thing is for sure – there are 45 beautiful smiling faces of children running through a school-building that was not even ours only one year ago. The first part of the miracle has happened. On so many occasions Shri Mataji invites the children to visit Her, whose presence She so clearly enjoys. Her smiling face is our highest reward.
Let us now help the next phase of the miracle to come true. There is still some distance to go, but the road is already less steep than last year. With another effort of 500,000 euro we can reach the next check point. If each family contributes at least 50 euros a month we can easily make it. The earlier the full amount comes in the easier we can manage the projects.
When we look back at 2010, let us then see the new space that was created so that more children can attend the Cabella School, the love and dedication with which Yogis have provided for the greater comfort of Mother and Her family, and that Her invaluable speeches all preserved safely for the millenniums to come. Above all, let us see Her face smiling back at us like the shining sun expressing Her sweet feeling of Prasannia.
