Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Now beginning in it's third year, the Sahaja Yoga Middle School in Vancouver, Canada has several staff openings for the coming school year from September 21st 2010 to June 2011.
The school is seeking Sahaja Yogis to fill two full-time staff positions at the school and who have a strong desire and commitment to work in a Sahaj environment with young children from 8 to 15 years old. The school welcomes dedicated Sahaja Yogis who will come to help grow the school and fulfill Shri Mataji's vision of establishing Sahaj Education in the western world.
Teacher or Teaching Assistant
As a Teacher you will instruct the children in key areas of the academic curriculum and also help out with various outside activities such as swimming or nature explorations. We are looking for someone who can take classes to teach Math, Science, Social Studies, English, French, Hindi, PE, Computers, Wood Working, Pottery and Art. Sahaj classes and projects are also a strong part of the curriculum.
- Established Yogi or Yogini with good English skills
- Has a desire to work with children of Elementary School Age
- EEC passport holder or with Visa to enter Canada
- 6 to 9 months commitment is preferable
House Keeper
We are looking for a House Keeper who will help to plan out and prepare the meals for the children, oversee and take care of the running of the residential home which includes ensuring the cleanliness of the school along with ensuring the school has the food needed for meals every week. You will need to be creative and find great joy in feeding and caring for others.
- Established Yogi or Yogini with good English communication skills
- Can cook a balance of western, Indian and other styles of healthy dishes
- Drivers license preferred
- EEC passport holder or with Visa to enter Canada
- 6 to 9 months commitment is preferable

Throughout the development of the school, every step of growth and change that has been taken, has been by the grace of Shri Mataji, and taken together by the many Sahaja Yogis who live and work in some way that connects them to the school in a completely collective manner. Over the last two years the school has been fortunate to have been given many occasions to offer before Shri Mataji details of each step of growth and have been given Her blessings before proceeding. Here are a few words that were imparted to the school by Sir CP with Shri Mataji earlier this year:
Sir CP spoke at length and asked to convey Shri Mataji's complete blessings upon the school and to all the Sahaja Yogis in Canada. He asked to share with everyone Shri Mataji's desire that the future lay in Sahaja Yoga schools, and that it is Shri Mataji's desire that a minimum of one Sahaja Yoga school be established in every country around the world. He offered full support and suggested that Dharmshala be used as a model school and be visited by us to learn from, for the benefit of all schools. He said that when the World Foundation was created, Shri Mataji established the Sahaja Yoga school in Cabella as the first priority project.
Shri Mataji was looking to each of us completely and clearly throughout, and one could clearly feel the vibrations flowing and the Sahasrara open. It was so auspicious on this day for Canada to have the opportunity to ask, in person, for all Her Divine blessings.
The school is now situated in a dedicated location not far from Vancouver or the US border to the south, and is surrounded by mountains and nature on all sides. The nature surrounding Vancouver is very beautiful, with many natural parks, beaches and of course the Pacific Ocean, all close by.
