Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The Sahaja Middle School in Vancouver is seeking four staff members for the coming school year that begins this September. All staff should arrive at the beginning of the month in time to settle and setup before classes begin on September 12th.
- Senior Class Teacher
- Junior Class Teacher
- Cook & Dorm Aunty
- Male Teacher & Dorm Uncle
Staff Teachers must have good English skills. We are looking for at least one candidate with an international driver's license.
Amongst our staff we are looking for those who can take classes in Language arts, Math, Science, French, Hindi, Physical Education, Computers, Wood Working, Pottery and Art. Sahaj classes and projects are also a strong part of the curriculum.
Class curriculum is provided to teachers who work together with the education advisor. Class work follows a standard combined US and Canadian middle school curriculum with texts and lessons provided. As the school is small in numbers, staff will have diverse skill sets to enrich the education and experience of the students.
It is preferable for staff to join the school for the full academic school year, although consideration will be given to those who may only be able to come for only one or two terms.
Applicants should have an enjoyment of children and the nature, along with a strong and sincere desire to go deeper in Sahaj. Experience with children is preferable but not necessary. A willingness to be flexible and allow Shri Mataji's vision to enfold within is all that is needed.
How to apply?
Applications and enquiries of interest should be sent to staff-admissions@vslec.ca or call Madhurima Marychev at +1 604 561 3702.
Further details about the school can be found in the School brochure which you can download here. We've also created a photo slideshow of the school to share with you from our experiences together, learning and growing up at the school which you can see here.
With all our love from the Canada National Council and the Vancouver Sahaj Middle School
