SUMMARY OF THE COORDINATORS MEETING ON THE CHARTER OF THE CENTRAL COMMITTEE (CC)

The meeting of the National Coordinator gathered on the 5th May 2012  in Cabella. The meeting had an atmosphere in which the elder Sahaja Yogis together with younger and new coordinators could talk openly with each other. Things that for elders are obvious are not necessary obvious for the younger yogis. This was pointed out at the meeting and the beauty of such exchange is just this openness and it also shows that the input from elder yogis is important and nourishing.

The main topic of this meeting was the review of the draft of the Charter. The National Coordinators have given their support to this text. The final version, revised in the light of oral and written comments received is enclosed.

The genesis of the CC in 2011 was prompted by the focus to obey Shri Mataji "now" and no longer postpone what She had instructed us to do in 2008. Auspiciousness shall flow from this obedience. She established the CC, not the yogis. It is encouraging to register a convergence also from those who initially had queries about the establishment of the CC.

A few points were clarified during the presentation of the draft of the CC Charter. Strictly speaking the Charter applies to the CC because the CC did  not presume write a Charter for the collective.  However it is offered to the collective as a text of reference that contains some essential elements and aspects of Shri Mataji's teachings which can guide us. If the vision and experience of elder yogis who abide by this synthesis prove helpful, so be it.  The Code of Conduct was introduced on request from some countries but it is now is enclosed in the annex which is more logical as some observed. Rules of procedures are likewise annexed. the following was discussed:

In the vision of the CC the collective is growing spiritually in an organic manner through the ascent of each individual yogi and yogini and under the guidance of the Paramchaitanya.  It is a process in motion that SY institutions may be inspired to support but the CC does not see the necessity of a top down structure to lead the collective.  It clearly sees itself simply as occupying a space at the global level to be filled with wisdom and benevolence in order to maintain this vision.

Participants at the meeting recognized it is difficult to put a living process in writing but appreciated the good proposal text of the Charter. The text must be kept simple and it can always be reviewed in the light of experience. Several specific points were discussed, including the balance between creativity and fidelity to Mother or the fact that the use of vibrations needs not be disconnected from common sense, intuition and wisdom.

General comments indicate that an initial wait and see attitude towards the CC has been followed by a general sense of ease and more security , precisely, some underlined, because the instructions of our Guru have been followed. Some see the CC as providing a corner stone reference in the global structure of the SY movement. A concrete suggestion was made that the CC could provide a trigger for synchronizing global SY events such as World Realization Day.  In matters of assistance to conflict settlement, it  is understood that the CC prefers to operate informally and discreetly to reach results rather than broadcasting its role. The CC was seen as supportive and constructive and so was the debate of the national coordinators. The text of the Charter Of the CC shall be made available on SWAN.

COMMUNICATION WITH THE COLLECTIVE

Beyond its written communications, the CC has also interacted through more direct contacts. The CC is happy to meet the collective at Guru Puja 2012 on Saturday evening and to offer and assessment after one year of activity.

THE YEARLY INTERNATIONAL PUJA SCHEDULE

The CC  facilitates the establishment of the international pujas schedule by interacting with the respective national collective, arranging their proposals so as to avoid conflict of schedule and ensuring the compatibility of these proposals. Due attention is given to holding  pujas in Cabella, mostly during the warmer seasons, and to allow yoginis and yogis who would otherwise have difficulties in traveling abroad to participate in such uplifting festivals. It is gratifying to receive reports of how pujas in Brasilia and Penang have been generously blessed by Our Divine Mother. Please kindly note that we have been notified by the India National Trust that the 2012 International Diwali Puja will take place in New Delhi at the location of Nirmal Dham.

THE MARRIAGE PROCESS

Marriage is a key dimension of sahaj culture and the performance of Sahaj marriage requires some institutional support. The primary responsibility for supporting the SY marriage process lies with the International Marriage Committee. The CC has expressed its support to the IMC and, in this context, the CC recalled that the IMC is constituting a reserve pool of qualified yoginis and yogis that can assist in the match making arrangements. National coordinators in position to do so should please send submissions to the Secretariat of the IMC at "Marco Arciglio" <marco.arciglio@gmail.com>; if needs be, it would be greatly appreciated if  these resource persons could be supported by their collective for their travel to Cabella ahead of the marriage ceremony taking place at the forthcoming Ganesha Puja. National collectives expressing the wish to facilitate/organize such ceremonies should liaise with the IMC.

While marriage in a Sahaj ceremony is the preferred option of many, it must be recalled for the record that Shri Mataji also fully accepted the option in which a yogi or yogini would find a life's partner outside of Sahaja yoga. Of course in such a case one expects that this partner respects the convictions of the yogi or yogini.
